I love the flavored coffees, especially Starbucks “Vanilla Latte” or Daily Grind’s “Snickers.” I usually serve a flavored coffee, Frappe´ or special coffee with my desserts for dinner guests. This is one of our favorites:
Use a Mocha Java blend or chocolate flavored coffee.
18-22 ice cubes, crushed
7 fluid ounces double-strength coffee, chilled
1/4 cup chocolate sauce
2 tablespoons vanilla, almond, raspberry or other syrup
Whipped cream or ice cream, for garnish
Place the ice, coffee, chocolate sauce and syrup in a blender. Blend until the frappe’ is smooth. Pour into a large, tall glass. Garnish with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of your favorite ice cream. Makes one 16-ounce frappe’.
